The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a brand new type of item that can provide an increase to your stats. You can upgrade armor weapons, trinkets and weapons with these.
Upgrades to items employ a method known as "upgrade pity" to calculate probabilities. This system is meant to lower extremes of luck and provide an adequate safety net when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrade r allows players to upgrade the level of their equipment for their trinkets, armor, and weapons. The upgrade is applied to gear when you visit an upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. When you upgrade an item, it will improve the stats of that item.
This NPC is located in every major city, and is located in the edge of the square, near the Teleport. The NPC can upgrade any weapon, armor, or trinket except for those which require a quest or crafting.
Note: The item you use to apply an upgrade will be consumed forever. There are no multiple upgrades applied to one piece of equipment. Attempting to apply an upgrade using one already applied will cause the previous upgrade to be overwritten.
The process of upgrading your gear is a great way to maximize the power of your gear and boost your damage, survivability, and overall power. For instance, if have new Benthic gear that you purchased from the War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be level 385 by default and can be upgraded to a higher level with [Prismatic Manapearlsor [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE equipment are account-wide. Upgrades to your PvP gear require the use of a specific currency, like [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crests(Harbinger Crests). The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional pieces of gear in the same armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade of the gear.
Weapons
Weapons are an essential element of any successful character. They can be used to deter the wrathful monster, take down an intruder or win a shooting competition. Or they can simply be hung on the wall. No matter how you plan on using a particular weapon, you must keep in mind that it's possible to upgrade it and will evolve according to your style of play.
You can upgrade weapons by visiting a blacksmith that has a workbench for weapons. The workbench is located in the right side of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a great option to upgrade your main weapon. There is also an Smithing Master called Iji located at the "Road to the Manor" Site of Grace in the northwestern region of Liurna of the Lakes. Smithing Master Iji improves both armor and weapons.
In general upgrading an item will raise the level of its weapon by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other weapons that are special will increase the ilvl by 15 for all upgrades. A player can only have one active upgrade at any given moment. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon which has another upgrade in place it will fail and the weapon will go to the previous level.
Upgrades don't just boost the level of the item, but also give it additional stats that can be used to increase its effectiveness. Certain upgrades are passive, while others will provide more damage, faster attacks, improved range, or even critical strike opportunities.
Ashes of War weapons are awarded when certain bosses of raid are defeated. Other upgrades can be applied to weapons that have Whetblades which are rare items that unlock new Affinities to infuse the weapon with.
When a weapon is upgraded it will continue to receive additional upgrades for as long as the player has the proper upgrade materials and currency on the table. It's important to note that weapons are only upgraded to a maximum of 25. Players should upgrade their weapons only after they've completed the maximum amount of upgrades possible from regular and Whetblade item.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a special item that offer a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like other equipment by interacting with an Item Upgrader NPC.
You can find an upgrader for items in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, first you must un-equip any weapons or armor. The NPC will then appear with an orange banner "Equiped" over his head.

Generally upgrading an item will boost its value, but there are exceptions. For example the item may have intrinsically high requirements that limit its usage (take Whistan's shield from FB sorcs as an example) or the item has a low base stat that could be upgraded to an ideal or high roll, it will see only limited usage and therefore gain little value.
